So Matsukawa ist ein japanischer Dirigent. Er wurde am 23. August 1992 in Tokio geboren.

Im Juni 2024 erhielt er den 2. Preis beim CONSTANTIN SILVESTRI International Conducting Competition 2nd Edition, organisiert von der Silvestri Foundation, sowie von der Bukarester Nationaloper, unter der Schirmherrschaft des rumänischen Präsident und des rumänischen Kulturministeriums organisiert in Bukarest, Rumänien.
Im gleicher Monat, Er gewann den 1. Preis beim Brass Band Conductors’ Association’s (BBCA) conducting Competition2024, organisiert von der Brass Band Conductors‘ Association, gesponsert von YAMAHA in Manchester, England.

Im Juli 2023 erhielt er den 3. Preis beim 7. Internationalen Ionel Perlea Dirigentenwettbewerb in Rumänien.
Im September desselben Jahres wurde er als einer von 17 aus 531 Bewerbern und 111 Teilnehmern des 1. Internationalen Ferenc Fricsay-Dirigentenwettbewerbs in Ungarn ausgewählt.
Zudem wurde er im Dezember als einer von 7 Halbfinalisten unter 132 Bewerbern für den 3. Internationalen Orchesterdirigierwettbewerb “Universität Almería” in Spanien ausgewählt.
Bei der Yamada Sadao Music Foundation Conductor Audition 2020 in Japan erhielt er die Yamada Sadao Music Foundation Special Selection (1. Preis) und den Music Award und dirigierte beim Laureate Concert.

Im September 2024 assistierte er Robin Ticciati auf seiner Japan-Tournee des London Philharmonic Orchestra.
Im Februar 2024 war er Assistent von er und dirigierte das Ensemble hinter der Bühne bei einer konzertanten Aufführung von “Tristan und Isolde” beim Abonnementkonzert vom Deutschen Symphonie-Orchester Berlin in der Berliner Philharmonie.
Im November 2023 auch, er war außerdem sein Assistent beim DSO.
